The telephone number for making appointments is 01603 782155

We offer the following appointments:

Pre- Bookable Appointments

These are intended for long term, complicated or mental health problems or any problem not requiring immediate attention

It is our hope that you will be able to pre-book with a doctor of your choice. To arrange a pre-bookable appointment it is best to telephone either late morning or in the afternoon. These appointments can be booked up to 2 weeks ahead.

 Follow-up Appointments

If your doctor or Nurse Practitioner needs to see you again to follow up treatment they will issue you with a slip to book another appointment.

 Sameday Appointments

These are intended for medical problems that need to be assessed within the next 24-48 hours.

Our doctors  and Nurse Practitioners will provide a daily duty service for problems that need to be seen quickly. You should telephone in the morning as usual to make an appointment for the same day. The duty service will operate morning and afternoons, 5 days per week.

Extended Hours

if you are in work or have difficulty getting in during normal surgery time, you can now pre-book an appointment with the doctor or Nurse Practitioner  on :

  •  Tuesday evening between 6.30pm and 7.30pm and
  •  Thursday morning between 7am and 8am.

Please ask receptionist for further details.

If you are medically too unfit to travel to the surgery and require medical attention, please phone the surgery preferably before 120.30am.

If your GP is not full time it may be necessary to offer you an appointment with one of our other GPs, our locum or current registrar.

We also hold certain other appointments which are available to be pre-booked in advanced, such as minor surgery, warfarin blood tests, 'well women' appointments with our Nurse Practitioners, plus rheumatology, post natal appointments and recall appointments requested by our GPs/NPs.

Long Term Management Conditions Clinic (LTMCs)

Patients with long-term medical conditions, such as diabetes will be called in for review of their medical condition and medications every 6-12 months. This will involve an appointment with a nurse practioner and/or a blood test.

Our Long Term Management Conditions Clinics (LTMCs) are organised by pre-booked appointments being sent out by letter to our patients, in advance, for patients on the recall register (e.g. for patients with Diabetes, Chronic Heart Disease and Asthma).  These are an annual or bi-annual review, dependent on the condition and we aim for patients to be recalled in the same month each year.  Which we hope assists patients in 'expecting' the review appointment in the same month each year.
