We are a team of volunteers who take people in need of transport from their own homes to medical appointments e.g. local surgery, hospital ( within 50 miles radius ), dentists, opticians. We cover anybody who is registered at the Hoveton Medical Centre including the surrounding villages. We also take people from Coltishall Medical Practice who live in Wroxham , Hoveton and Belaugh.

Our Service

We prefer that you book reasonably well in advance but we do take last-minute bookings, provided we have a driver available.

To use our service you must be able to get into the car with minimum assistance. We have our own wheelchairs to assist you at both ends of your journey but none of our vehicles have access for those people who need to be in a wheelchair permanently.

We only take people to medical appointments and do not cover shopping trips.

Our volunteers will wait up to 2 hours at any appointment,(this is at the drivers discretions) If it is longer than this, your driver must be informed so he can go home and come back to collect you. This will involve an extra cost.

Cost

We have fixed rates to take you to different locations e.g. local surgery £5, Cromer Hospital and N.&N.Hospital £20, Acle or Aylsham £12. You will be informed of the charge when you make the booking. This charge is made to cover the drivers’ fuel costs etc. and is paid in cash to the Driver.

We are always in need of additional volunteer drivers.
