Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)

There’s been a lot of talk about tirzepatide being available from GP practices. To clarify, the ICB has released a set of Frequently Asked Questions with further information.

Tirzepatide will not be immediately available, and it won’t be accessible to everyone who wishes to use it.

Initially, it will only be offered on the NHS to those at the highest health risk due to their weight.

It will begin to roll out from spring 2025 via specialist weight management services.
