The Forces Employment Charity is proud to provide life-changing support for veterans in the justice system. The shift into non-military life can bring challenges that can lead to veterans feeling detached and in between military and civilian worlds. The reality for many is that this can potentially lead to housing problems, debt, health issues, PTSD, or alcohol, drug or gambling misuse. Which can, in turn, lead to some veterans being at risk of offending.

We have over ten years of experience in supporting veterans in contact with police, courts, prison or probation teams. Our pioneering support programmes have consistently proved that identifying, engaging and supporting veterans can have life-changing – and in many cases life-saving – outcomes.

SSAFA support covers both regulars and reserves in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army and the Royal Air Force and their families, including anyone who has completed National Service. They are all entitled to lifelong support from SSAFA, no matter how long they have served.
